"Bordeaux": This bottle is roughtly straight with a curved "shoulder" that is useful for catching sediment and is also the easiest to stack. Traditionally used in Bordeaux but now worldwide, this is probably the most common type of bottle.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Carménère, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, Petit Verdot, and Barbossa are typical of a Bordeaux style bottle.
